All Rooftop students are expected to read daily during summer break. We suggest all families participate in the summer learning programs at San Francisco Public Libraries. Everything is FREE!
The library’s Summer Stride: Read. Create. Explore program encourages students to track their reading time and to stop by their neighborhood library for books, comics, ebooks, audiobooks, and more. Every book on the SFUSD Summer recommended reading list can be found at the San Francisco Public Libraries.
And while you are visiting your neighborhood library, stay for one of more than 500 learning and exploration programs, like lego robotics, engineering, magic, crafts, summer films, and shuttles to our local national parks. Don’t forget to enter the weekly raffle every time you visit for great prizes including museum passes and gift certificates.
All Rooftop students will receive a summer reading packet form our school librarian including the SFPL tracking tree game board and the SFUSD recommended reading lists. Please allow your child to choose reading material that excites and interests them!
Visit the Rooftop Library Website for links to the Summer Stride, eBooks and other great reading resources for our students.  https://sites.google.com/a/t.sfusd.edu/rooftop-k-8-library/
