WHAT: SFUSD Arts Festival – A City Wide Celebration of Student Creativity

A celebration of student creativity showcasing students as visual artists, writers, film makers, musicians, dancers, actors and viewers in ways that are powerful and authentic. The event includes a visual art exhibition featuring artwork by 2,000 students; live musical and dance performances by over 65 student and community groups; screenings of student films and videos; poetry readings; and hands-on art activities. Festival visitors will also be admitted into the museum free of charge, except to special exhibits or on Monday, March 11 when the museum is closed.

WHO: San Francisco Unified School District, Asian Art Museum, the San Francisco Public Library, and the San Francisco Arts Commission

WHEN: Saturday, March 2 – Sunday, March 10, 2013
10 am – 5 pm daily (museum closed Monday, March 11).
