Sunday, April 26 – 10 am Kabuki Sundance Theater

Our partners at the SF Film Society invite our families to enjoy this year’s family friendly screenings at the SF Film Festival.  This program of shorts for the whole family is a mixture of live action and animation from around the world. This year’s program includes the newest short from Pixar, Lava.  In attendance at the event will be directors and animators from Pixar and Disney, along with independent filmmakers who will participate in a Q&A session and host a special meet & greet session for kids to get autographs and pictures.
The director, James Ford Murphy, will be in attendance at the event. We also have Disney animator Dan Lund attending the screening with his short film Aria for a Cow  Dan’s credits include Frozen, Mulan, The Princess and the Frog, The Lion King, and many other Disney classics. His new short includes a lost piece of music from Disney legends Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. Our other guests include director Saschka Unseld and producer Kyle Ranson-Walsh (Home), Annie Award winning director Jason Rayner (My Big Brother), and director Meghdad Asadi Lari (Simorgh). All of the guests will take part in a Q & A and we’ll also have a special meet & greet session where kids can get autographs and pictures.
