Rooftop Susty Kids & Blake Mini Library’s 2016 VALENTINE’S DAY BOOK DRIVE
January 18 – February 14, 2016 (from MLK, Jr. Day of Service to Valentine’s Day)

This year Susty Kids, Inc. joins Blake Mini Library 2016 Valentine’s Day Book Drive, a #youthphilanthropy project to help improve the #literacy of homeless children. 8-year old Blake Ansari and his father work together to build the rainbow-colored ?Blake Mini Library?. The colorful shelves will be sent from Brooklyn, NY to San Francisco, to be assembled by the Susty Kids at Rooftop School. This very special gift will be delivered to the families at the Hamilton Family Center in the Tenderloin on Valentine’s Day. Please help us to fill the #BlakeMiniLibrary shelves by donating your new and recently new books (no cloth books, please) to children from birth to age 21. Look for collection boxes at both Rooftop campuses and Umpqua Bank’s Noe Valley & Potrero Hill branches.

At the age of six, Blake Ansari decided to help end poverty by donating a Blake Mini Library to homeless shelters and food banks. Blake Mini Library supports the reading, writing and science literacy of children ages birth to 21 living in homes for runaways, homeless shelters and foster care. After New York City, San Francisco has the second highest rate of homeless children in the nation.
