Rooftop Family:

We’re always looking for ways to support our amazing teachers in the classroom! Last week, all of our teachers got copies of either “Project Based Learning for 21st Century Success” or “Project Based Learning in the Elementary Grades.” Both of these texts provide teachers with tools to support the implementation of the Common Core Standards through the teaching of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. Feel free to ask your teacher to take a look at their copy!

More tools are on the way to support our students learning in the middle grades! Both science classrooms now have very cool, digital microscopes. Class sets of handheld, digital microscopes for each student should be arriving this week! These items have been purchased through the generous support of’s Principal Innovation Fund.

Speaking of Salesforce…Don’t forget that more of their employees will be joining us next Thursday, May 30 between 9:00 and 12:00 to help us with odd jobs around campus and to assemble our Maker Shed on the roof at the Mayeda campus!

Finally, don’t forget to join us for our 1st Annual Equity/Diversity Fair at our Mayeda Campus! Saturday, May 2, 2015, 10:00-2:00 p.m.
