When does school start?
Our first day of school will be Monday, August 15, 2016. Classes for students in grades six through eight will start at 7:45 a.m. Students in grades PreK-5 will begin their day at 7:50 a.m. The school day will end at 1:50 p.m. for all students.
Please make the commitment to ensure that your student is on time for school.
What’s the best way to stay up-to-date about Rooftop news?
What about transportation?
SFUSD’s Transportation Department will be sending Bus Schedules out by mail shortly. These schedules are also available online at sfusd.edu. Hard copies will are available in the main office of each site.
What’s the procedure for lunch applications?
School lunches will be available the first day of school. Free and reduced fee lunches will be available to those students who qualified during the last school year. Lunch applications are available on the SFUSD web site . You have an option to pay online at the site as well.
What are the school’s expectations for students?
Please review the classroom newsletters and list of expectations that are sent home with your student during the first week of school. Rooftop’s School Rules will continue to focus on being safe, being respectful and being responsible. SFUSD Student Handbooks will also be sent home for your review and signature. Parents of middle school students will be expected to co-sign discipline, cell phone, dress code, and technology agreements with their student.
