On December 9, 2016, Rooftop’s AAPG will host a Kwanzaa celebration for the Rooftop community from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Mayeda Campus. The event will include African-themed music, a pot-luck dinner, an art table for candle making hosted by Rooftop first-grade teacher Julia Smith, a Kwanzaa-themed performance by African American Rooftop students and parents, and a 15-minute community-wide African dance lesson.

If you are interested in having your child participate in the Kwanzaa performance, please contact Tera Konaris (Chloe, 1st grade) at tera.konaris@yahoo.com. AAPG will post sign-ups for potluck items and help with set up and clean up on ParentSquare soon. We look forward to celebrating with the whole Rooftop community at this special event!
