Week Sixteen! The school year is moving quite fast! Yes, the countdown to the Winter Break begins. The winter holiday spirit is filling the air! Fun! Fun! Fun! Happy Holidays!
I finally experienced the Winter Workshop at Burnett. What a special event for the students and our families! It was a joy to see our Rooftop family coming and working together as they created personalized gifts for their loved ones. Definitely heart-warming! My special thanks go to all our volunteers (quite a number!) who supported and made the event extra special and those who donated milk and cookies for the end-of-the-workshop celebration.
The Winter Workshop now goes to the Mayeda campus. Our middle school students who have signed parent permission slips get to participate in our after-school workshop on December 5th – 7th.
We welcome back our 8th graders from their successful Outdoor Ed trip to Yosemite National Park. The inclement weather did not stop our youngsters from learning from and enjoying the experience. As in the past years, our students reported how enriching the field trip was to all of them.
Our Chorus is having its annual Winter Holiday Performance at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 14th at the Burnett Multi-Purpose Room. Please come, support and cheer on our students who have been working hard to mount this concert. Let them share their holiday spirit with you through their gift of music.
The PTA officers join me in inviting you to come to our monthly First Friday Coffee at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7th at the Burnett yard and the Monthly General Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14th, at the Burnett Multi-Purpose Room. Please note that the meeting is taking place just before the Chorus’s Holiday Concert.
