Funding for the Free Muni for Youth program has been extended for two years until June 2016. This program provides low and moderate income qualified youth, age 5 up until their 18th birthday, residing in San Francisco free access to Muni when using a Clipper card. There is no action required for qualified youth who are already enrolled in the program.

Qualified youth who have not enrolled in the program and meet eligibility requirements, can: sign up online: sfmta.com/freemuni4youth OR mail an application with proof of age to the SFMTA Customer Service Center at 11 South Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94103.

Parents should contact the Clipper Customer Service Center (1.877.878.8883) if their child’s card has been lost, stolen, or is not working. The program will be extended to 18 year old qualified youth in late Fall 2014.

More information on this extension will be available in September. 311 or sfmta.com/freemuni4youth
