Rooftop celebrates the start of the new school year with a festive and fun Welcome Picnic at Christopher Playground. The kids play in the playground or throw a Frisbee on the field while enthusiastic PTA members provide tacos and drinks. It’s a relaxed afternoon where families can catch up after the summer and new families can meet other families, teachers and staff. The PTA sponsors this event and encourages all parents to come over and learn about the different programs at Rooftop. Maybe you’ll decide to join one of the committees; they are always happy with new members. And don’t forget to score your first Rooftop sweatshirt at the merchandise table.
For the school year 2011-2012, the Welcome Picnic will take place on Sunday, August 28 at the Christopher Playground from 12-4pm. Please come join the fun.
