We Need Donations
Our current donation count is 439 which is 361 items short of our goal. Please try your best to turn in as many solicited items and donations ASAP. Any donations we are not able to process this week will be included in our post Hallway Auction to be held the week after spring break and at the April General PTA meeting. Thank you for your help. Teacher’s Wish Fund
This year our Fund a Need program is about creating a Teacher’s Wish Fund that will provide any teacher, counselor, resource specialist, and PTA program coordinators access to funds of up to $1000 a year for each. Our total goal is to raise $40,000 tonight for the program.

Auction Goals
The Annual Auction and Children’s Art Show support our children’s education by raising money to pay for the many “extras” that make our school special: Visual and Performing Arts, Garden, Library, and the Sensory Motor Program as well as Literacy Support, Outdoor Education, school supplies and much more. The event strengthens our school and fosters leadership and service learning for our kids. It also builds a sense of community by showcasing and celebrating the artistic accomplishment of our students by all working together towards this common goal. Please support the Auction by donating what you can. Checks made out to Rooftop PTA may be forwarded to your child’s teacher or mailed to Attn: Auction at 443 Burnett Avenue, SF, 94131.

Purchase Auction Tickets
Admission is $40/person and if you buy 5 tickets, the 6th ticket is free. There are no paper tickets issued for the Auction. Register online: http://auction.rooftopk8.org/tickets/ and provide your name at check-in on March 14th at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. Those who registered and ordered tickets before February 27th will receive printed catalogs with your bidder number this week. Please check your children’s backpacks and take your catalog with you to the Auction. Doors open at 5pm and the first silent auction table closes at 6:40pm.

We Need Wine
We currently have only 4 cases of wine. Our goal is to have 10-12 cases available for Auction and 16-18 cases to pour at the bar. For those of you who were unable to secure donations for the auction, or for those who did and would like to help more – we are collecting bottles of wine (preferably valued at $25 and above) to package together based on varietals for silent auction. This is a good way to get people to know some of your favorite wines, and a great way to build up a little collection if you win it at the auction! Bring a bottle from your own collection or stop in a local wine store and pick one up. Please deliver the bottle (with a donation form) to the Burnett office asap. Volunteers Needed
We are still looking for volunteers to work 1-2 hour shifts before and during the Auction. To find an Auction job that matches your skills and interests, sign up online: http://auction.rooftopk8.org/volunteer/. A pizza party for each campus will be awarded to the class with the most volunteer sign ups. Class leaders for the pizza party at Burnett: Mr. Rogers, Ms. Woo and Ms. Whitcomb, and at Mayeda 7A and Ms. Kennedy.

8th Grade Babysitters
Rooftop 8th Grade students will be available to babysit on Auction night. Contact us at auction@rooftopk8.org if you would like a copy of the 8th grade referral list. Please arrange childcare details directly with 8th grade student(s). The Rooftop Auction begins at 5pm and is an adult only event. Live music and dancing will be available after live auction and until 11pm.
