Tis’ the Season….Auction Season! Get ready for the biggest Rooftop Fundraiser Party of the year on March 12, 2016! We promise you a magical night with food, drinks, bidding, entertainment, dancing and our own awesome community. So block your calendar for the party you will not want to miss!

We want to highlight a couple of new things we are trying out this year based on community feedback:

  • New Venue – Yes, you heard that right! This year’s event will be hosted at the Russian Center, centrally located in Lower Pacific Heights!
  • Online Auction – No, this doesn’t replace the auction, but this allows us to sell a lot of the auction items online to people inside and outside the community.

Best-sellers: restaurant & gift certificates, travel, wine; experiences: for ideas check here. For logistical purposes we discourage tangible items.

#2 HOST A SIGN-UP PARTY – Think about fun events you can host or compose with parents in your class. Kids love to get involved too, so get them to host: playtime in the park, baking cupcakes, a Minecraft party. It does not have to be that elaborate to make it fun. Submit your idea here

#3 BECOME A ROOFTOP SPIRIT SPONSORThis is a great opportunity to acknowledge your student, graduating 8th grader, staff, or teacher!  Your sponsorship will go towards underwriting costs like sliding scale/teacher tickets and the auction. . Learn more.  For business sponsorships, click here

In closing, we want to thank Verna Liza Caba for her dedication and leadership over the past years as the auction chair. Under her stewardship the Auction has grown into one of the biggest fundraisers for the Rooftop Community.  This year, we have a new team leading the Auction including Shanna Abeloff, Kristen Hansen, Saskia Charbonneau and Maryann Ibrahim.  Please support us as we have big shoes to fill!
